What you are seeing is a partial process of creating the trademark/rebrand for Seattle’s Best Coffee, a Starbucks subsidiary. There were many stages in between and a lot of back and fourth. The logo left my studio’s hands before the final mark was chosen by SBC and tweaked some. We created three typefaces for the project and many hundreds of marks. The final mark represents a coffee lid, a drop of coffee in a cup (original idea) and lastly a smile.This mark was created by Michael Cina Associates and Creature.

With the world cup coming up, I thought it would be the perfect moment to experiment again. I’ve selected few amazing players to work with. But as you can see they have no faces, because I believe in a team and not a Star Player in a World Cup!

The 2 young artists designers Nikki Salt and Amy Flurry had the excellent idea to launch Paper Cut Project. A development of masks or blank paper hairstyles exclusively, giving one made very elegant and poetic. More images of work in the continuation.

A whole new range of brand photography was created to provide material for telling a wider brand story. This was used on packaging as well as marketing and promotional items. Each beer varietal had it’s own wordmark created in a unique way, visually formed from the New Zealand environment or found within it.
